01Challenge The GMC legacy system inherited from a past supplier, created numerous challenges to Carnival Media Group. Redeveloping a website of the scale of GMC– including migrating thousands of members, their email and customised settings was no mean feat. Throw in an inadequate content management system and the administrators were quite literally unable to keep up, and members were starting to desert in large numbers.
02Solution Carnival Media Group undertook a thorough research and analysis project to ascertain the existing system wants. This included design, architecture, functionality and eventually creating a user guide so staff could commence making updates immediately while development of new functionality was taking place. After admin & consumer user analysis was completed by Carnival Media Group, a redeveloped back and front end was implemented.
03Results Over the duration of the year, the site has received fantastic results, including substantial increases in site traffic and significantly reduced support costs.
